Royal Navy Seaman’s Clasp Knife.


A very interesting Harrison Bros & Howson knife. Probably one of the earliest Naval Pattern which dates from 1940 phased out around 1986. This design only saw service with the Royal Navy.


  • 3.25 inch sheep’s foot blade

  • Chequered Alloy Grips.

  • Shield one side.

  • Screwdriver formed from centre liner.

  • As per Flook early knives carry only makers name.

  • Marlin spike marked 6

  • Overall length 8 inches.

  • Manufacturer – Harrison Bros & Howson. Started in the eighteenth century, then became a major Sheffield manufacturer.

  • Snap not great on the blade but strong on the marlin spike. Minor knick on front edge of the blade.

  • Old staining probably can be cleaned off.
