Royal Navy Seaman’s Clasp Knife.
very interesting Harrison Bros & Howson knife. Probably one of
the earliest Naval Pattern which dates from 1940 phased out around
1986. This design only saw service with the Royal Navy.
3.25 inch sheep’s foot blade
Chequered Alloy Grips.
Shield one side.
Screwdriver formed from centre liner.
As per Flook early knives carry only makers name.
Marlin spike marked 6
Overall length 8 inches.
Manufacturer – Harrison Bros & Howson. Started in the
eighteenth century, then became a major Sheffield manufacturer.
Snap not great on the blade but strong on the marlin spike. Minor
knick on front edge of the blade.
Old staining probably can be cleaned off.
